Bifesta Cleansing Lotion (Moist) Review

Rating:  ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros Lightweight, water-based makeup remover Doesn't leave any oily residue  Leaves skin feeling soft and supple Comes with a pump There is no need to rinse after using the product. The formula is meant to hydrate whilst cleansing, making this a convenient and fuss-free regime. Readily available at drugstores Cons You will require a separate makeup remover for stronger products e.g. waterproof products, eyebrow pencils, eye liners. Note: Bifesta also has its own range of eye makeup remover. Personal thoughts Repurchased this a number of times! Takes about 3 cotton pads to completely remove my makeup. I felt the product works best on the larger skin area e.g. cheeks, forehead. For stronger makeup, I found myself having to tug the cotton pads across my skin which isn't the most ideal. I don't exactly love the feeling of not rinsing this. It leaves a slightly tingly, a tad sticky after-effect on my skin. I would rinse w...

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Lotion (Regular) Review

Rating:  ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros Lightweight, colourless and watery lotion that absorbs fast Leaves skin soft and supple right after Fragrance-free, a lcohol-free Readily available at drugstores Refill packs available Cons Although it absorbs fast, there will be an immediate "sticky" feeling after application. This will go away eventually. No pump or applicator  Hydration doesn't last all day Refill packs aren't easy to find in Singapore's drugstores Personal thoughts I wouldn't say this is the best toner around but it does a decent job and I've been using this for a couple of years. My skin is soft and supple right after; a great kick-start to my skincare regime. Hydrating effect isn't as promising as advertised. For me this doesn't last past mid-day. I'll need a good moisturiser to complement.  I understand there are 3 versions of lotion for different skin types; Regular (this review) for dry/normal skin, Ligh...

Sebamed Clear Face Anti-Bacterial Cleansing Foam Review

Rating:  ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros Gentle Doesn't over-dry skin Comes with a pump for easy, hygienic application The foam dispensed is dense and glides very smoothly on skin  Antibacterial ingredients to combat skin problems e.g. acne. Best advised to leave foam on skin for 5 minutes before rinsing. This is to allow deeper penetration into pores for more effective cleansing and antibacterial properties. You may like the coconut-y smell Readily available at drugstores Cons You will need a makeup remover prior to this. I don't think it is strong enough to remove makeup, sunscreen, etc. Troublesome to leave foam on skin for 5 minutes before rinsing You may not like the coconut-y smell Many people have described an after-effect akin to having a "thin film" on the skin after rinsing. You may not like this. Personal thoughts This has been my go-to facial cleanser for years. I wouldn't say it was the sole contributor that cleared my acne but...
